Skate NOLA Safety Rules
Your safety and wellbeing are very important to us. We encourage every skater to take responsibility for their own safety and to make smart decisions while participating in any Skate NOLA activity.
All participants skate at their own risk. Skate NOLA is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or lost items during group skates or events.
Safety Guidelines:
Always stay aware of your surroundings at all times
Follow all local traffic laws and trail rules
Yield to pedestrians and slower skaters
Maintain a safe distance between you and others
Control your speed, especially on hills or crowded paths
Avoid sudden stops or sharp turns without warning
Skate in designated areas only
Do not skate under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Use proper lighting if skating in low visibility conditions
Respect all participants and the public
Recommended Items to Bring
To have a safe and enjoyable skating experience, please bring the following:
Water or Gatorade to stay hydrated
Hand towel
Hat and sunglasses for sun protection
Fanny pack or small backpack for personal items
Activity watch to monitor heart rate and track performance
Comfortable, long socks to prevent skin irritation
Knee pads and elbow pads
Helmet if applicable
Earphones for music
